Greg Schweiger, MD

Dr. Schweiger is board certified and fellowship trained in orthopedic trauma surgery. He is among Alaska's few trauma experts and is known for his abilities with complex fracture care as well as pelvic acetabular and post traumatic reconstructions.

In addition, Dr. Schweiger practices general orthopedics with emphasis on sports medicine and knee and hip arthroscopy including the treatment of Femoroacetabular Impingement (FAI).

Prior to joining OPA in 2013, Dr. Schweiger was in private practice in Boise, Idaho, for more than 14 years. There he supported the region's only trauma center, handling a high volume of complex cases. Dr. Schweiger and his family moved to Alaska in 2013 to continue in private practice with a team of physicians who share his commitment to uncompromising patient care, and to explore all that Alaska has to offer.

His wife and two daughters share his love for the great outdoors and are likely to be found speeding down the ski slopes, fishing the streams, and hiking and hunting in the woods.
